Birmingham has won the right to stage a major international gymnastics event ahead of the 2012 London Olympics.
The National Indoor Arena will host the 2011 World Championships in Trampoline, Tumbling and Double-Mini Trampoline.
The competition is crucial for the trampolinists as it also serves as their qualifying tournament for the 2012 Games less than a year later.
The event will be held over three days and is expected to involve around 650 athletes from 40 countries.
British Gymnastics chief executive Alan Sommerville said: "This event will provide our team with a fantastic opportunity to experience the excitement and pressure associated with competing in a major event on home soil."
British Gymnastics and Birmingham City Council have formed a successful partnership in recent years by jointly staging the World Cup Finals in Artistic Gymnastics in 2004 and in Trampoline and Tumbling in 2006.
フィギュアスケートや水泳など、いろんな競技を見るのが好きなので、この体操競技にも少し興味があります。
